Paul Maysek has more than twenty years of management consulting experience specializing in executive search. Clients include hedge funds, money management firms, family offices, investment banks and corporations. Working in partnership with these clients, he has recruited high impact professionals who have generated quantifiable positive bottom line results.
Paul's recognized expertise is recruiting key professionals for highly regarded hedge funds and money management firms in portfolio management, research, CFO, COO, and General Counsel positions. This has included numerous engagements from hedge funds ranging from start-ups to twenty-year-old firms.
He has worked closely with the top management of international investment banks that have benefited from his longstanding experience in the international securities arena. Their unique corporate cultures and the fast track growth of their North American operations required a value added consultative approach.
Before coming to Wall Street, Paul worked for General Electric Company in product planning, as a competitive pricing analyst, and a marketing representative covering the merchant export market in New York following his completion of GE’s management training program.
He received his A.B. degree from Brown University and has continued his university affiliation in a number of volunteer leadership roles. He has served for fifteen years as Vice Chairman of the Brown University Independent Award Dinner that has honored such luminaries as Lady Margaret Thatcher, Sir John Templeton, and Steve Jobs successfully raising substantial scholarship money for deserving students from New York City and as an Advisor in the Brown Venture Fellowship Program. Paul has also been a guest speaker at Columbia Business School for the Investment Management Program (CIMA) and at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania for investment management concentrators.
